She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Bernard Minter; one daughter, Frances Hawthorne; her parents, John Alex Hatfield and the former Amanda Irene Skinner; one brother, Woodard Hatfield; and four sisters, Opal Hatfield, Lorene Minter, Lucille Hatfield and Mary Bell Hatfield. She died died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at 10:26 p.m. in Our Lady Of The Oaks Nursing Home in Lafayette, La.
