Post Office Directory 1894 & 1898, Court Section has Arthur Minter, 61 Leyton Park Road, Leyton, London. 1901 census: at 64 Leyton Park Road, Leyton, Essex, Arthur (39, commercial traveller), Emily K (35), Kathleen O (4) and Ida (2). 1911 census: Kathleen (14) and Ida (12), together with Emily WHITE ('mother', crossed out and 'head' inserted, 67, widow, born Barnsbury, London) appear on a census form for 64 Leyton Park Road, Leyton (5 rooms). Both girls are shown as 'daughter', both were at school and both were born in Leyton, Essex. The form was signed by Arthur Minter. The explanation for this is unclear. Arthur's marriage and his children's births were registered in the name of MINTER. Effects £7049 14s 3d. The Times (London, England), Saturday, Apr 25, 1936; pg. 17; Issue 47358 records that Arthur left £25 to each of the London Hospital and the Nervous Diseases Hospital. From the London Gazette 12 May 1936: ARTHUR MINTER, Deceased. Pursuant to the Trustee Act, 1925. NOTICE is hereby given that all creditors and persons having any claims or demands against the estate of Arthur Minter, formerly of Leyton, in the county of Essex, and late of " Summerside," and " Irton," Summerleys Road, Princes Risborough, in the county of Buckingham, Gentleman, deceased (who died on the sixth day of March, 1936, and whose Will was proved by Emily Kate Minter, of " Irton," Summerleys Road, Princes Risborough, Bucks, and the Public Trustee, of the Public Trustee Office, Kingsway, W.C.2. the executors therein named on the 21st day of April, 1936, in the Principal Registry of the Probate Division of the High Court of Justice), are hereby required to send in the particulars of their claims and demands to the Public Trustee, or to the undersigned, their Solicitors, on or before the fifteenth day of July, 1936; and notice is hereby also given that after that day the said executors will proceed to distribute the assets of the deceased among the parties entitled thereto, having regard only to the claims of which the said executors shall then have notice; and that they will not be liable for the assets, or any part thereof, so distributed, to any person of whose debt or claim they shall not then have had notice.'97 Dated this 8th day of May, 1936.
