  Notes	From findagrave.com: Wayman “Darrow” Jarrett, 86, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born in Stanleytown on January 13, 1933, to the late Joseph Wheeler Jarrett and Nannie Alice Turner Jarrett. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Minter Jarrett; daughter, Sheri Faith Jarrett; and sister, Ruth Foster. Mr. Jarrett graduated from high school with honors and then joined the U. S. Navy, proudly serving his country. He was a member of Blackberry Baptist Church, and had been a supervisor in the U. S. Postal Service in Bassett. He is survived by his son, Gary Dean Jarrett (Donna); grandchild, William “Dean” Jarrett (Kristen); and three great-grandchildren, Will, Ben and Kate. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Blackberry Baptist Church Cemetery with Minister Tim Woods presiding. Visitation will be prior to the service at Wright Funeral Service Chapel at 12:30 to 1:30 PM. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
