| Notes |
- John was representative for various firms but main interest was acting as MC at dances and shows - sang a little too. He was the only good-looking brother and much taller than the other 4. Separated from wife, who was always jealous of the ladies he attracted. They reconciled during the war years and produced a son who was born on Victory day 1945. Later they divorced. After his mother had died in 1949, he led a very lonely sad life, ending in an old folks home, putting on an 'act' to the end to be 'life and soul of the party'. A weak man but popular and well-meaning.
