  Notes	The most likely marriage I've found for William is that which took place in Denston, Suffolk on 2 December 1816. The bride was Elizabeth THOROWGOOD, possibly an alternative speling of THOROUGHGOOD - an Elizabeth THOROUGHGOOD was christened in Suffolk on 5 November 1797, parents Joseph and Sarah. This comes from England Births and Christenings 1538 - 1975 at familysearch.org but the place in Suffolk isn't mentioned. 1841 census: in Brockley, Suffolk (all BISHOP, all born in Suffolk), William (45, ag lab), Elizabeth (45), William (20, ag lab), George (20, ag lab), Alfred (15), Thomas (12), Samuel (10), Mary Ann (16), Sarah (8) and Elizabeth (3). 1851 census: in Great Green, Brockley, Suffolk (all BISHOP), William (head, 55, ag lab, born Gazeley, Suffolk), Elizabeth (wife, 55, born Denston, Suffolk), Mary Ann (daughter, 23, field work, born Brockley), Thomas (son, 22, ag lab, born Brockley), Samuel (son, 20, ag lab, born Brockley), Sarah (daughter, 17, field work, born Brockley) and Elizabeth (daughter, 12, born Brockley). The next person on the page is Henry HONEYBALL. 1861 census: in Great Green, Brockley, Suffolk (all BISHOP), William (head, 61, ag lab, born Higham, Suffolk), Elizabeth (wife, 69, born Denston, Suffolk), Mary Ann (daughter, 33, tailoress, born Brockley), Samuel (son, 28, ag lab, born Brockley), Louisa (daughter, 23, born Brockley), William (grand son, 14, ag lab, born Brockley) and George (grandson, 7, scholar, born Brockley). Some of the ages on this census seem wrong. And was Louisa actually Elizabeth - I can't find a baptism for either name. I think Elizabeth/Louisa married Thomas EVERETT in 1865 as Louisa. I think the two grandsons were Mary Ann's. I can find the probable birth registration of George but not of William. It seems likely that William's death was the one registered in Q2 1868 at Thingoe (4a/269), with age shown as 75. There's a burial on the National Burial Index which seems to match: it took place on 14 May 1868 at Brockley but the age is shown as 72.
