    • April 2019: email from Joan Wheeler LaGrone with some family details. Joan a descendant. At the time Joan sent her email, I had 14 children for John Thomas & Adeline but Joan says there was a fifteenth child, Jesse Blairs Minter born 24 November 1833.

      1840 United States Federal Census, in Chester County, South Carolina, John T MINTER's household: Males: under 5, 1; 5-9, 2; 10-14, 1; 15-19, 1; 40-49, 1. Females: under 5, 2; 5-9, 1; 10-14, 1; 30-39, 1; 50-59, 1.
      These totals indicate that there were some children born before Monroe in 1830. I have added the following to the list from the Hillhouse and related families tree at ancestry.com: John H Minter 1824 - 1880; Elzy Davis Minter 1825 - 1907; Thomas J Minter 1826 - 1859; Julia Ann Minter 1828 - 1885.
      The Hillhouse and related families tree also includes Ethelwin Love Minter but other sources have him as John's brother William's son. I have taken this as correct.

Also Jane LOVE (80, born South Carolina).
