  Notes	From findagrave.com: November 2, 1929 - June 15, 2016 Cooper Wright passed away after an extended battle with cancer on June 15, 2016. He was born in Henry County, VA. He studied engineering and was a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he earned the Good Conduct Medal. His civilian career spanned 40 years in mechanical engineering, project management, supervision and consulting. Mr. Wright and his family have lived in the Huffman area of Birmingham since the late 1960's, where he was an active citizen in the local community and faithful member of Chalkville Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband and father, and doting grandfather. He was preceded in death by a son, Arnie Dean Wright, in 1974. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helen Mae Minter Wright, also originally from Henry County, VA; brother Andrew Wright (Ella) of Martinsville, VA; son Brandon Wright (Catherine) of Vestavia Hills, AL; daughter Chelaine Wright of Huffman, AL; and two granddaughters, Audrey Helen and Diana Alexander. Visitation will be at Ridout's Trussville Chapel-Dignity Memorial in Trussville, AL, on Saturday, June 18, at 1pm, to be followed by a memorial service at 2pm at Trussville Chapel and a graveside service at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Pinson, AL. Reverend Roger Stone of Chalkville Baptist Church will be officiating the services.
