  Notes	Name appeared on original birth certificate as Epsy Lee NICKSON. Corrected to Epsie Lee NIXON by an affidavit of father, S T NIXON on 7 December 1981. 1940 United States Federal Census: Epsie Lee NIXON (8, born Texas) lived in Harris County, Texas with her parents Samuel T and Madell and two sisters, plus her father's sister and her husband. Epsie evidently married, had a son, and then separated in the 1940s. By the time of the 1950 census she was again living with her parents in Highlands, Harris County. She was then Epsie Lee BASS (18) and her son was Jerry Thomas BASS (1, born Texas). She married again in 1978 to Leonard J BISHOP, whom she divorced in 1979, and in 1980 to Lloyd J SUIRE. From findagrave.com: Epsie Lee Nixon Suire was born September 6, 1931 in Huntsville, TX to Samuel Thomas and Mae Dell Ellington Nixon. She passed away on April 7, 2018. She lived and worked most of her life in Houston and Bridge City, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd J. Suire; Stepdaughter, Belinda Suire; sister, Doris Mozelle Bridwell and her husband Vance. She is survived by her son, Jerry T. Bass and wife Debra of Shreveport, LA; her sister, Elva Mae Yokem and her husband Ken of Bartlesville, OK; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A Visitation with a Rosary will be held at Vincent Funeral Home in Kaplan, LA on April 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of life for Epsie will be held after the visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. and interment to follow the service at the Kaplan Cemetery. The family would like to thank the nurse’s and staff, especially Tammy Frierson, Shayla, Rolanda, Randy, and Miss Brenda, of Heritage Manor Nursing Home at Stratmore for their care during her last years. Additionally, Dr. Hernandez, Laura, Trence and Life Path Hospice for their special care.
