Peter, Lewis & Dick. Notes by John Minter: 1. Bob White has year of birth as 1748. Marvin Dellinger has year of death as 'bef. 1812'. I am using the dates shown in Don Chamberlayne's Minter Notes. Both Marvin and Bob refer to this person as 'Joseph Minter': I am using the longer version. 'Joseph Anthony Minter', as per Don Chamberlayne. 2. There is confusion over the number of Joseph's children, their names, dates and places of birth. For example the IGI lists several of the children twice, once where birthplaces are shown as Virginia and again where birthplaces are shown as Woodford County, Kentucky. The children included are taken from two sources: - The Deal Family Tree at ancestry.com (which doesn't include James b. 1776 but does include 'Merritt Snr'. b, 1794). - The Mustain and Gregory Connections tree at rootsweb (which includes James b. 1776, doesn't mention 'Merritt Snr' but has a second James b. 1794). Perhaps arbitrarily I have omitted 'Merritt Snr'. Led somewhat by the two trees mentioned, I'm assuming that children up to and including Martha (1787) were born in Virginia, later children in Kentucky.
