"My Aunt Minnie, who everyone always addressed as “Sis”, married Bernard Crouchman in 1946 in Windsor, Ontario. She and her husband had a house built in a new subdivision fronting on a private golf course, to which they were members, in Beach Grove, just outside of Windsor. They spent their lives in that house. Bernard died Sept.2, 1982 following an illness. They had no children of their own, but were favourite aunt and uncle to the children of her brothers. Grace Downey, Minnie’s mother, my grandmother, lived with the Crouchmans, and passed away March 4, 1969."
