Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law Ivy Downey, and Betty Crouchman. Predeceased by her brothers Jack, and Ken (Isabel) Downey. Min will be sadly missed by her friends and neighbours. Min was retired from Chrysler, and enjoyed a life of golfing, curling, and bridge at the Beach Grove Golf and Country Club. A funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Anglican Church, on Monday afternoon March 21, 2005. Rev. Andrew Graham officiating. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Walter D. Kelly Funeral Home and Cremation Centre.
John adds:
"My Aunt Minnie, who everyone always addressed as “Sis”, married Bernard Crouchman in 1946 in Windsor, Ontario. She and her husband had a house built in a new subdivision fronting on a private golf course, to which they were members, in Beach Grove, just outside of Windsor. They spent their lives in that house. Bernard died Sept.2, 1982 following an illness. They had no children of their own, but were favourite aunt and uncle to the children of her brothers. Grace Downey, Minnie’s mother, my grandmother, lived with the Crouchmans, and passed away March 4, 1969."
