Awarded the prize of one pound at the Nonington Wingham Ash and Eastry Agricultural Association Show for three horse ploughs Class 3 in 1851 and fifteen shillings in 1852. 1861 census: at Nethersole Farm, Womenswold Street, Womenswold, head carter, aged 40. 1871 census: in Bishopsbourne Street, Bishopsbourne, Robert (53, ag lab) and wife Ann (52). 1881 census: in Bishopsbourne, Robert (70, widower, ag lab) and his sister-in-law (Stephen's widow) Mary Ann (54). 1891 census: a pauper, widower, aged 80 in Eastry Union.
