  Notes	From Dick Moore, email January 2016: "I believe that this JOHN MINTER married ELIZABETH CHATTON and that the couple had a son JOHN MINTER. The baptisms of JOHN MINTER the father and the son escape me as does the date of the marriage. References:- 1. The Will of JOHN CHATTON of Baddingham dated 5th April 1725 wherein he "gave to ELIZABETH MINTER my daughter the... and to JOHN MINTER her son I give ... to be paid at his age of twenty and one years". (IC/AA1/158/24) 2. The Chancery Proceeding dated 12th November 1737 between JOHN CHATTON, & RICHARD CHATTON (sons of JOHN CHATTON above) and JOHN MINTER of Eye (son-in-law to JOHN CHATTON above) whereby a Promissory Note for £40 written by JOHN MINTER had curiously disappeared. (C11/2243/8) 3. The Will of WILLIAM MINTER of Eye dated 30th April 1741 "I give unto my grandson JOHN MINTER, the son of my late son JOHN MINTER . . . " (J545/56 Clagett VI 1746) 4. The Will of JOHN MINTER of Eye dated 21st December 1740 "I give unto my son JOHN MINTER . " (J545/55 Clagett V 1740)."
