  Notes	From findagrave.com, Dec 2014: Virginia Everhart Minter, 83, of 1826 Avondale Drive, Altavista, died Tuesday, March 2, 1999 in Piney Forest Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Troy Burton Minter. Born Aug. 18, 1915 in Lexington, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Gideon and Sally Virginia Everhart. She was a member of Lane Memorial United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Burlington Mills. She is survived by one son, Richard B. Minter of Altavista; three daughters, Barbara Shelton and her husband, Gordon of Hurt, Ann M. Manuel of Gretna and Susan M. Compson and her husband, Mike of Danville; one sister, Lois Ballinger of Norcross, Ga. and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 1999 in Green Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Jeff Allen. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. today at Finch & Finch Funeral Home, Altavista.
