  Notes	This John Minter appeared with his parents in the 1900 census but I haven't found later trace of him. He should not be confused with the John Silas Minter who was born in Leatherwood on 2 October 1887 and died at Leaksville on 13 April 1930 - according to his death certificate he was the son of Woody Minter and was married to Ola Nelson. I think this should be Viola Nelson - there's a record in the North Carolina, Birth Indexes, 1800-2000 for Lillian Margaret Minter, born 12 Mar 1912 to John Silas & Viola Minter
