June 2009: Ron Minter: "1911 census [shows] that my mother at the age of 2 was living Greenwich, fostered out to a family at 99 Old Woolwich Road, Greenwich. On the census she was mentioned as a "nurse child". She did keep contact with her "Foster" parents and I can remember visiting them in Greenwich during the 40's and 50's. I suppose it was natural that my mother felt closer to them than her natural mother who eventually married an Architect, and produced 2 half brothers and 2 half sisters to my mother."
