| Notes |
- 1881 census: at 9 Hyde Terrace, The Hyde, Edmonton (all WYMAN), Edward (head, 37, builders labourer, born Edmonton), Ann (wife, 31, born Edmonton), William* (son, 12, born Edmonton), Pamela (daughter, 8, scholar, born Tottenham), Edward (6, scholar, born Tottenham), Frederick (son, 4, born Tottenham), Alfred (son, 2, born Tottenham) and George (1, born Edmonton).
* I think William must have been Ann's illegitimate son. If he was 12 when the 1881 census was done, the birth year suggested is 1868 or 1869. The birth of a William Minter took place on 13 March 1870 in the Edmonton Union Workhouse, no father shown, mother Annie Minter. Annie was the registration informant on 22 March 1870: she marked, and gave Union Workhouse, Edmonton as her address. Although I can't find Ann or Annie in the Edmonton Union Workhouse at the time of the 1871 census, it's where her father was.
Later: I've now found an 1871 census entry which almost certainly refers to Ann ("Anny") and her son William. The entry is indexed by ancestry.com as MINTEN:
in Barrowfield Lane, Edmonton, Middlesex, as lodgers with Robert & Rebecca DAVIS and family, Anny MINTER, unmarried, 20, born Edmonton and William MINTER (1, born Edmonton).
Until further evidence suggests the above is wrong, I'm treating William as Ann's son.
1891 census: at 2 Wooden Cotts, Barrow Field Lane, Edmonton (all WYMAN), Edward (head, 47, general labourer, born Herts NK), Annie (wife, 41, born Edmonton), William (son, 21, sawyers labourer, born Edmonton), Pamela (daughter, 18, cartright factory hand, born Tottenham), Edward (17, general labourer, born Tottenham), Frederick (son, 15, general labourer, born Tottenham), Alfred (son, 13, scholar, born Tottenham), George (11, scholar, born Edmonton, dumb), Thomas (son, 9, scholar, born Edmonton), Annie (daughter, 4, born Edmonton), Maud (daughter, 4, born Edmonton) and John (son, 3 months, born Edmonton).
1901 census: at 144 St Mary's Rd, Edmonton (all WYMAN), Edward (head, 57, general labourer, born Edmonton), Annie (wife, 53, born Edmonton), Alfred (son, 23, general labourer, born Tottenham), George (21, general labourer, born Edmonton, deaf & dumb), Tom (son, 17, general labourer, born Edmonton), Annie (daughter, 15, factory hand, born Edmonton), Maud (daughter, 12, born Edmonton) and Jack (son, 11, born Edmonton).
1911 census: at 34 St Mary's Rd, Edmonton (3 rooms) (all WYMAN), Edward (head, 68, general labourer, born Edmonton), Annie (wife, 63, married 40 years, 13 children, 9 living 4 dead, washer, born Edmonton), George (27, single, general labourer, born Edmonton) and John (son, 20, general labourer, born Edmonton, dumb).
