  Notes	1911 census: at 22 South Parade, Chelsea, London (2 rooms), Eugene (head, 23, married, chauffeur (domestic), private service, worker, born Battersea, London) and Amelia Maria(?) (wife, 22, married 1 year, no children, born Reading, Berkshire) Form signed Eugene Minter. On 17 August 1914 at the age of 27 years, a lorry driver, Eugene joined the RASC. He served in France between 1914 and 1919. He was demobed on 8 June 1919, address 29 Galvaston Road, E Putney, London. The service papers contain a copy of wife Amelia's death certificate. 1921 census: at Earls Mead, Harold Road, Margate St John the Baptist, Kent, the home of Henry and Annie ROSENBAUM. Henry was 72, born in Russia, a retired woollen merchant. Annie was his second wife, aged 49 born in Finsbury Square, London. With them was Henry's daughter Rose, 41, single. There were four servants, including Eugene MINTER (33y 10m, born London), the chauffeur, and Helen MINTER (23y 10m, born Nord France, naturalised as British), the cook. Eugene's son by his first wife was living with his grandfather, Eugene's father, Robert Minter London, England, Electoral Registers, 1832-1965 at Ancestry: 1937, 1938, 1939, 25 Courtnell Street, Paddington (both Minter), Eugene and Teresa. Eugene Lance's name has a 'S' beside it - I think this means 'service voter' 1955, 121 Old Church Street, Chelsea (both Minter), Eugene L and Beatrice. Several others at same address. 1955 (second listing), 25a Courtnell Street, Paddington (both Minter), Eugene Lance and Teresa. 1956, 1957, 25a Courtnell Street, Paddington (both Minter), Eugene Lance and Teresa. 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 25a Courtnell Street, Paddington (on her own), Teresa Minter. Eugene Lance was registered in 1911 as Lance E but from the above it appears he was known as Eugene Lance so I've changed his record (however, he appeared as Lance Eugene in the 1933 Electoral Roll!). He married Beatrice POINTER in 1938.
