  Notes	From findmypast.co.uk - the Acton Gazette of 21 November 1902 carried a report that William Minter of Beaconsfield Road, Chiswick and two other men were tried at West London Police Court on a charge of gambling. Police had approached a group of men and lads seen to playing pitch and toss. The group scattered and some fled into nearby Acton Green football ground. Police arrested Minter who was there on the grounds that he'd been among those playing pitch and toss. Minter denied the charge and called witnesses in defence. He and his co-defendants were discharged - the judge thought a mistake had been made. In August 1903 William, labourer, and Florence lived at 16 Beaconsfield Road, Acton, London. In October 1904 William, labourer, and Florence lived at 3 Saville Road, Acton Green, London. 1911 census: at 2 St Margarets Terrace, Park Road, Acton, Middlesex (2 rooms), William (head, 29, married, general labourer, worker, born Acton, Middlesex), Florence (wife, 27, married 8 years, 5 children 4 living 1 died, born Chiswick, Middlesex), Sarah Elizabeth (daughter, 7, born Acton, Middlesex), Florence (daughter, 6, born Acton, Middlesex)), William (son, 2, born Acton, Middlesex)) and Samuel (son, 11 months, born Acton, Middlesex).
