  Notes	A witness at Ickham on the 14 July 1821 and many times between 1832 and 1837. Between 1825 and 1836, a cordwainer of Ickham and Littlebourne in 1837. Parish Clerk of Ickham. Bound on the 6 November 1826 as a cordwainer of Ickham in the administration of the estate of William Minter, a gardener of Ickham. 1841 census: in Ickham Street, Ickham, Daniel (45, shoemaker), Martha (40), Maria (15), George (13), Harriet (10), Daniel (9), Martha (5), John (3) and Elizabeth (1). Between 1840 and 1845, a shoemaker of Ickham. Appeared in the 1845 Kelly's Post Office Directory of the six home counties as David (sic) Minter, shoemaker, Ickham. Appeared in the History & Directory of the County of Kent by S Bagshaw, 1847 as Daniel Minter, boot and shoemaker of Ickham. 1851 census: in Ickham, Daniel (55, shoemaker), Martha (51), Martha (16), John (13, errand boy), Elizabeth (11, scholar) and Charles (7, scholar). Daughters Maria (25) and Harriett (21) were 'natural school mistresses' in Rugby Street, Clifton on Dunsmore, Warwickshire. Appeared in the 1852 Post Office Directory of Kent (Kelly's) as Daniel Minter, shoemaker, Ickham. Appeared in F G Harrod & Co's Postal and Commercial Directory of Kent, 1867 as Daniel Minter, boot & shoe maker, Ickham. 1861, Daniel (64, shoemaker was living in Ickham Street, Ickham with his son Charles (17, pupil teacher). Martha (61) and her son Daniel (29, gardener) were at 3 Pound Lane, Westgate, Canterbury with Martha's daughter Martha SHARP (26), her husband Thomas W SHARP (23, gardener) and their daughter Eva (1 month, born Canterbury). The Vestry Minutes of 1836 - 1918, as recorded in the Ickham Parish Register, note that Daniel resigned as sexton in 1865. (Cliff Minter, January 2011). 1871 census: at 21 Elm Grove, St Mary Lambeth, Daniel (75, retired bootmaker), Martha (71), daughters Maria (45, schoolmistress) and Elizabeth (31, domestic servant) and grandson Lennie Mayall (6, born Moseley [Mossley], Lancashire). Buried aged 76 of 21 Elm Grove, Brixton Hill. Martha was buried aged 72, of the same address.
