| Notes |
- The birth date received with this record was 24 April 1833, clearly wrong since John's father was born in 1823, and the 1880 census gives John's age as 36. Further confusion arises - John's death certificate for his 1915 death gives his age as 76, implying a birth year of 1838 or 39. The record (no photo) at findagrave.com gives birth date as 24 April 1838. The 1900 census shows April 1842. The death cerificate gives John's full name as John L, his father as Anthony Minter and his mother as Nancy Price.
