  Notes	From findagrave.com, Dec 2014: Raymond Robert Lawson, 95, of 620 Mountain Mist Drive, Martinsville, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. He was born April 24, 1917, in Stokes County, N.C., to Gabe L. Lawson and Lela Hall Lawson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, sisters and a granddaughter, Robin Hadgkiss. Lawson served in the Army during WWII and joined the Air Force, from which he retired. He also worked at Martinsville Novelty Co. as a foreman and was a charter member of Landmark Baptist Church in Collinsville. Surviving are his wife, Mamie Dove Lawson of the home; two daughters, Linda A. Hadgkiss of Rocky Mount and Teresa L. Hardee of Bassett; a son, R. Glen Lawson of Martinsville; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville with the Rev. J.D. Harmon officiating. Burial will be in the Dove family cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends for one hour before the funeral Wednesday at the funeral home.
