  Notes	From findagrave.com, Sep 2015: Duluth News-Tribune (MN) - January 27, 2000 Deceased Name: LESLIE R. MINTER SR. Leslie R. Minter Sr., age 63, of Virginia, formerly of Duluth, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, in his home. He was born on Feb. 27, 1936, to Leslie and Esther (Helsel) Minter in Biwabik. He grew up and attended school in Duluth, graduating from Denfeld High School in 1954. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps after high school. On July 16, 1960, he married Lorraine Pearson in Duluth. Following marriage, they first made their home in Duluth, moving to Virginia in 1972. He was employed by U.S. Steel for 42 years, retiring in 1996. Leslie was a member of the Northern Club of Virginia and the United Steelworkers Local 1938. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; a son, Leslie R. Minter Jr. of Virginia; a daughter, Amy (Bob) Kemp of St. Cloud; grandchildren Cassandra, Joseph and Jacob Kemp of St. Cloud; a brother, William (Marilyn) Minter of Duluth; a special uncle, Bill (Irene) Helsel of Lakeland, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation: 10:30 until the 11 a.m. funeral Friday in Range Funeral Home in Virginia. Burial in Lakeside Cemetery in Biwabik.
