  Notes	1891 census: Leonard (21, a medical student) was boarding at 27 New Court Road, Streatham, London. 1891: qualified as a medical practitioner at Edinburgh (Medical Register for 1903, at ancestry.com) Living at Sussex Lodge, Hillindon, a physician & surgeon, in August 1898. 1901 census: at 60 Brunswick Road, Hove, Sussex, Leonard John (30, doctor of medicine) and Mary Constance Smith (Smith doesn't appear on the marriage index entry) (30). Their 3 children were with their maternal grandparents at 9 Eaton Place, Brighton, Sussex. At home in Hove there were also a governess, a nurse and a servant. As Dr L J Minter, appeared in the 1903 telephone directory at 60 Brunswick Road, Hove, Sussex - telephone 08925. From the London Gazette 19 february 1904: NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, James Searson and Leonard John Minter, carrying on business as Physicians and Surgeons, at 36, Sillwood-road, Brighton, Sussex, and at 27, Harley-street, London, W., under the style or firm of SEARSON AND MINTER, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 31st day of December, 1903, the said James Searson retiring from the practice carried on at 36, Sillwood-road, Brighton aforesaid (hereinafter referred to as the Brighton practice), and the said Leonard John Minter retiring from the practice carried on at 27, Harley-street, London aforesaid (hereinafter referred to as the Harleystreet practice). All debts due and owing to and by the said late firm, in respect of the Brighton practice, will be received and paid by the said Leonard John Minter, and all debts due and owing to and by the said late firm, in respect of the Harley-street practice, will be received and paid by the said James Searson.'97 Dated this 30th day of January, 1904.
