- 1930 US census: in Philadelphia, Lloyd, 15 was a student at Girard College.
1940 US census: not found.
Lloyd wrote a letter to Margaret Young in the 1980s which contained a good deal of information about Lloyd and his brother. The following are some of the details about Lloyd himself:
- a bachelor, worked from 1932 to 1941 in the fire insurance business in Philadelphia. Served in the army from 1941 to 1945. Was in New Caledonia for a while. After the war was in 'the business end of hospitals' and lived for 5 years in Upper New York state. Lived in Philadelphia from 1950.
Lloyd died from a massive heart attack in 2002. His niece Sally Minter wrote a letter to Lloyd's family and friends announcing a memorial service on 10 August 2002 at The Church of The Good Shepherd in Germantown. The letter says 'Needless to say, if you knew my uncle, he had all this planned and the only thing we had to do was follow his wishes.'
An obituary was published in the Chestnut Hill Local on Thursday August 15 2002. I have a copy thanks to Margaret Young.
