    Notes
    • 1841 census: in Fullbridge, Maldon, Essex, Amy MINTER, aged 76, independent means, born in county. Apparently living with her was Mary JOHNSON, 11, not born Essex. Seemingly in the same house but a searate household was Ann ERRINGTON, 30, schoolmistress, not born Essex.

Thanks to research by Sue Platt, the identity of the above-named Mary JOHNSON has been established:
She was Amy Minter's granddaughter, the daughter of Mary Ann Minter who evidently went to London where in 1826 she married William JOHNSON, a widower, an undertaker. William and Mary Ann had (at least) 4 children including Mary - see William JOHNSON's Notes.

Amey died at St Peter, Maldon on 22 November 1849, aged 87, widow of William Minter mariner. The cause of death was bronchitis and the informant was Rachel Thurston of St Peter, Maldon, who was in attendance. She was buried at All Saints & St Peters, age 86, of St Peters.
