Adelaide (23, seamstress) was next door, a visitor with Joseph WENT (unmarried, 40, farm labourer, born Boxted). With her was her son Thomas (7 months, born Boxted. 1891 census in Boxted, Essex (all ELMER), John (67, married but wife not shown*, shepherd, born Boxted), Kate (20, tailoress, born Boxted) and Harry (son, 15, agricultural labourer, born Boxted). * Harriet (53, tailoress, born West Bergholt) was living in Chapel Road, Boxted with Henry POLLEY and his wife Grace and their family. Grace was John & Harriet's daughter. John's death was probably that registered at age 68 in Lexden in Q1 1896. 1901 census (indexed as ELMORE by Ancestry): in Straight Road, Boxted (all ELMORE), Harriet (head, widow, 62, tailoress, born West Bergholt), Florence M (27, tailoress, bron Boxted). Also a boarder, Ernest EDWARDS (married, 29, market gardener (employer), born Dagenham, Essex). I haven't found Harriet in 1911, or her death registration.
