  Notes	From findagrave.com, Jan 2015: Martinsville Bulletin - Jul 26, 2002 Alma Irene Minter Scearce, 87, of 35 Scearce Drive, Martinsville, died Thursday, July 25, 2002, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. She was born in Henry County on March 23, 1915, to Wiley Thomas Minter and Betty Pace Minter, both deceased. Also deceased are her husband, William Edward Scearce; a son, William Cecil Scearce; and 10 brothers and four sisters. She was a member of Mount Olivet Christian Church. Surviving are one daughter, Virginia Irene Maxey of South Boston; three sons, Bernard Shields Scearce of Axton, James Thomas Scearce of Martinsville and David Earl Scearce of Reno, Nev.; a brother, Dick Minter of Ridgeway; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at McKee-Stone Funeral Services with the Rev. Jim Alsop officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the home, 35 Scearce Drive, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today
