Notes |
- No trace in 1891 or 1901 censuses, or of marriage or death. Charlotte was probably the Charlotte Minter who arrived in Australia on 10 December 1888 on the 'Quetta' (source Gail Gniewosz, March 2008, also www.archives.qld.gov.au, where the complete passenger list can be found). The 'Quetta' left London on 16 October 1888. Charlotte Minter was 17, English, Protestant, a DS (presumably domestic servant).
Charlotte was a 'remittance passenger' which means that someone in Queensland had paid her fare to come out from the UK.
The above is likely confirmed by the marriage of Charlotte Elizabeth Minter and Sven Adolf SVENSSON in 1890 in Queensland.
