  Notes	A marriage took place on 13 April 1769 between 'Susanna Fidge' and William CARTER. Cliff Minter has examined the original Folkestone Parish Register entry for this marriage and found that the signature of 'Susanna Fidge' was very similar to the signature of the 'Susannah Minter' who married Richard FIGG on 31 January 1767. It therefore seems likely that Richard FIGG died and that Susannah re-married. But since no burial record can be found for Richard, it cannot be said for certain that the 1769 marriage was of Susannah FIGG, nee Minter.
