  Notes	Gave bond at the marriage of Catherine on 15 April 1766. Kentish Gazette, Sat 11 Aug to Tues 14 Aug 1770: "Whereas on Sunday the 29th ult. Edward Minter of Folkestone hired a black gelding with a white slip down his face of Mitchell Cook who keeps the George in Queenborough and was to return that evening but has not since been heard of and as he has since been seen at Margate with the above gelding this is to assure the said Edward Minter that a prosecution will be commenced against him if he does not forthwith return the gelding. If any information can.be given, all reasonable satisfaction will be made." Administration granted as late of Dover to Alice Minter widow on 25 November 1788. The following was extracted by Cliff Minter in February 2007 from the Canterbury Consistory Court Act Books (PRC 22/27 1773 - 1802): Folio 133. November 25th 1788 before the Reverend Joshua Dix Clk. Surrogate &c In presence of P Delasaux Noty Publ. Admon of the Goods &c of Edward Minter late of Dover in the Diocese of Canterbury deced was committed to Alice Minter widow the relict of the deceased She being first sworn well and truly to Admer. &c bound with her Thomas Willson of Folkestone, Hemp and Flax Dresser and Charles Ledger of Canty. Husbandman in £500.
