  Notes	Little is known with certainty about Edward Minter so a good deal of guesswork has been used, based on the following: 1. an Edward Minter was buried in Rochford at the age of 59 in 1818, giving an approximate birth year of 1759. 2. the baptisms of three children have been found in the Rochford Parish Register between 1794 and 1806, Sarah (1794), Anne (1804) and Eleanor (1806). This suggests that Edward was married to a Rachael (surname unknown) sometime before 1794 (or 1791 - see item 3) but no marriage has been found in the Rochford PR so unless they didn't marry, they must have moved to Rochford after marrying. 3. the attribution of two sons to Edward, George (born about 1791) and William (born about 1801), is guesswork and may prove to be wrong. If George was indeed Edward's son, and was born about 1791, Edward and Rachael's marriage probably took place before 1791.
