1901 census: at 15 Garrick Grove, Chiswick, Thomas (43, bricklayer), Elizabeth (42), Elizabeth (18, packer in soap factory), "William" [ Nellie Jane Travers] (11), Alice (8) and Gertrude (5). Lodging with the family was William BYDE (22, brewer's labourer) who will marry Elizabeth in 1902.
1911 census: at 4 Hogarth Lane, Chiswick, Middlesex (5 rooms) - the home of Thomas's daughter Elizabeth Ada, her husband William Newbury BYDE and their children. Thomas was a widower, aged 50, a bricklayer in a brewery, born Hammersmith. The children were Nellie (21, single, born Hammersmith), Alice (18, single, born Hammersmith), Gertie (16, single, born Chiswick). Also there was Hannah (65, spinster, born Hammersmith) - Thomas's sister.
William Newbury BYDE signed the form as head of the household.
