    • Ancestry.com.au - UK Incoming Passenger Lists, 1878-1960:
      A L Minter, 22, miner, proposed address 13 Walpole Gardens, London W4, arrived in Liverpool on 17 February 1945 on the 'Amstelkerk' (First Class) having boarded at Takoradi, (now) Ghana. He gave his country of last permanent resdence as Gold Coast (now Ghana).

      Lived at Sandwich, Kent from 1976, a mining and industrial engineer.

      A record at the National Archives (ref BT 26/1275/2577) indicates that Mrs Betty Mary Minter (24), Mast. Robert L Minter (2) and Inf. David W Minter (6 months) arrived from Cartagena, Colombia at Plymouth on the 'Colombie' in June 1951. The ship was mainly bringing immigrants from the West Indies. Mrs Minter gave her intended address as 73 Forelands Estate, Deal, Kent, said she was a house wife and gave her and her children's country of last permanent residence as Colombia.
