He was born in Abilene TX. and moved to Guthrie in 1925, then to OKC in 1942. He was Chief of Police at Guthrie OK. for 10 years in the 20s. He was a WW II veteran of the Marine Corps. He retired from the Railway Express as a contract painter. He was a member of Crown Heights Baptist Church. Survived by sons, Fred Minter and Dr. Larry Minter, both of Dallas; grandchildren, Michael Givens Minter of Austin TX. and John Minter and Molly Minter of Dallas; 2 sisters, Irene O'Donnall of Guthrie OK. and Truly Griffin of Sulphur Springs TX. Services 11am Thursday, Oct. 16, Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel, with interment in Memorial Park.
