  Notes	Cliff Minter: Joined the army in 1914 at Dover and was posted to the Highland Light Infantry; a sergeant on the Somme; demobilised in 1919. Lived at Haddington near Edinburgh, a shopkeeper. Following a scandal surrounding his son he moved to Edinburgh to live and where he spent the rest of his life living at 3 London Road, Edinburgh. During WW2 he became involved with his wife in helping exiled families from Poland. A kind and gentle man.

He died on 1 March 1955. Married by banns. William James Minter, 23, a bachelor labourer of 37 Dover Street, Folkestone, father Edward Minter (deceased), plasterer; Mary Elizabeth Hall, 22, a spinster of 38 Radnor Street, Folkestone, father William Hall, labourer.
