    • Apprenticed blacksmith.
      Admitted as a freeman of Canterbury on 18 March 1777 by apprenticeship.
      Owner of house at Ashford in 1790.
      Perhaps the owner, "Edward Minter", of about one and a quarter acres of land in St Mildred's parish, put up for sale and advertised in the Kentish Gazette of Sept 6 1793. James Earley found this item.
      Moved from the Castle public house in Castle Street, Canterbury to the Queens Head in October 1793.

      Will proved 12 March 1836 Canterbury Arch. Court.

      Buried 'as of St Mary Bredin', aged 79.

      Sacred to the memory of Mary the wife of Edward Minter of the parish of St Mary Bredin in the City of Canterbury who departed this life September 8, 1827 aged 60 years.
      Also of Edward Minter husband of the above named who died December 4, 1834 age 79 years.
