  Notes	Susan made an enormous contribution to her family's history. John J Minter writes: "Susan had to tramp around from church to church looking for records as it was before the great centralisation of Family History resources. She wrote that our grandfather William James believed that his family "came up from Diss" so that is where she began her research. Susan was only 32 when she died." Susan in buried in Kidmore End with her parents. The inscription on her grave reads "In Loving Memory of Susan Mary Willmott, was Minter 1948 1981". April 2021: John Minter (of Preston) found the following in The Reading Evening Post,  Monday September 2nd, 1974: "In an article entitled "Rooting out the Family" Susan Willmott of King's Road, Caversham, and her friend Jackie Blow of Elgar Road, Reading are thinking of starting a club for people interested in tracing their Family Trees - digging out their roots.  They hope to invite Professional Genealogists to give talks and explain methods whereby people can explore their personal history. Mrs. Willmott said " Everyone wants to be descended from an Earl - but very few of us are. My own Family, who I've been tracing for three years, came from poor labouring stock in Suffolk - and they are not very important. It makes it a lot harder."  She continued "One problem is the lack of written records. Somerset House only goes back to 1837 and Census Returns to 1841. But Parish Records, if available, go back a lot further.  I have traced my own Tree back to the 1790's." "It is really interesting, my Family name is Minter, a very ancient name., and eventually I hope to connect up with the Family who used to make coins in the mint.""
