| Notes |
- 1871 census: at 11 Walker Street, Bromley St Leonard, London (all STEDMAN), George J (head, 27, dock labourer, born Bethnal Green), Eliza P (wife, 27, born St George in the East, Middlesex), Annie E (daughter, 6, scholar, born Bethnal Green) and George H (son, 4, scholar, born Bethnal Green). Also a visitor, Eliza's father, Edward DONALD (widower, 63, butcher, born Shoreditch).
Not pursued an further except to note that George appeared in the 1911 census living with his wife Eliza in 2 rooms at 107 Grosvenor Street, Stepney. George was 67, paralysed and earned a living as an organ grider. He and Eliza had had 4 children of which 3 were still living. George died a couple of years later. I haven't found Eliza's death registration.
