| Notes |
- Although it can’t be proved it's suspected that the James Minter who appeared on the 1851 and 1861 censuses became the James RIGDEN of later censuses. He was probably Sarah Rigden’s son, going originally as Minter but later decided to adopt his mother’s name. There is a marriage which fits: in Q1 1868 at Bridge RD between James RIGDEN and Charlotte ALLEN. Details of James's appearances on censuses from 1851 to 1901 are shown under his father's notes.
