  Notes	In her 1994 letter Frances Mary Droll writes that Austin "immigrated to Canada and crossed over into the States to work at the Ford factory and made his living painting automobiles as they came off the production line. In 1938 he returned to England..." There are several records at ancestry.com of Austin's comings and goings, including one giving details of his return to England in 1938. He left Montreal on 3 July for London on the "Aurania". He was 45, a machinist, and was with his wife Ada, 46, and daughter Mavis, 20, a beauty operator. The proposed address was 82 Westgate Street, Gloucester.
