  Notes	Although the name is shown as Edward Thomas Minter the record at www.awm.gov.au suggests that Edwin served as a Private in the 6th Infantry Battalion - 1 to 9 Reinforcements (December 1914 - September 1915) and that he emabarked on the HMAT Runic at Melbourne on 19 February 1915. Age is shown as 23 (Edwin would have been 21); labourer, single, next of kin Mrs E Minter [possibly "Elen"], mother, 33 Norfolk Street, Globe Road, London, England. C of E. Records relating to Edwin's WW1 service can be found at the National Archives of Australia. The records all bear the name Edward Thomas. The above is confirmed by the record of Edwin's brother Frank, which shows the same next of kin (but as Mrs Hellen Minter). Mary Alice died in 1960 but I cannot find an Electoral Roll entry for Edward or Edwin Thomas Minter except for an Edwin Thomas Minter who appears as a clerk, then an accountant in the 1963, 1968 and 1972, as follows: 1963, for Malvern, Higgins, at 56 Edsall Street, Edwin Thomas Minter, clerk. 1963, for Glen Iris, Chisholm, at 4 Orford Road, SE 11, Edwin Thomas Minter, accountant. 1968, for Glen Iris, Chisholm, at 4 Orford Road, SE 11, Edwin Thomas Minter, accountant, with Robert Henry C Minter and his wife. 1972, for Burwood, Chisholm, at 4 Orford Road,Ash 3147, Edwin Thomas Minter, accountant, with Robert Henry C Minter and his wife. It's possible that this Edwin Thomas Minter was the son of Edwin Thomas senior (and therefore brother of Robert Henry Coquard Minter) but this hasn't been verified.
