  Notes	Despite knowing her father's name (from marriage certificate) and mother's name (from 1911 census), I can't find any documentation of Maude's life prior to her marriage in 1902, apart from her appearance in the 1881 census, which is index by Ancestry as GOBY: 1881 census: in South Heath, Great Bentley, Essex (all GOLBY), James (head, 37, ag. lab., born Mistley, Essex), Annie (wife, 32, born Dedham, Essex), George (son, 12, born ????, Essex), Ellen (daughter, 10, born Ardleigh, Essex), Millie(?) (daughter, 8, scholar, born Great Bentley), Annie (daughter, 6, scholar, born Great Bentley), Jessie (daughter, 4, scholar, born Thorington(?), Essex) and Maud (daughter, 2, born Great Bentley).
