  Notes	Elizabeth appears in the 1851 census as daughter but it's unlikely that Samuel Minter's wife Sarah was the mother since she would have been about 48 when Elizabeth was born. Elizabeth's true identity is a mystery. Her birth certificate might help: it seems likely that her birth was that registered in Q1 1850 at Ipswich (12/395) as Elizabeth Clara Bagett Baggett. No trace of her has been found in the 1861 or 1871 censuses but she reappeared in 1874 when, was Elizabeth Clara Bagget Minter, she married John Best NEWTON, giving her father as Edward Bagget Minter (deceased), gentleman. A search for Bagget/Baggett reveals nothing that looks significant. Elizabeth's death was registered as Elizabeth Clara B NEWTON.
