  Notes	From legacy.com: Norman Michael "Mike" Gaetz 1932-2018 Mike Gaetz passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, April 17, in Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death three years earlier by Betty Gaetz, his wife of 51 years. Mike was born August 2, 1932 to Wilfred and Elizabeth Gaetz in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. As an eventual U.S. citizen, his love for his native Canada, except the harsh winters, and his joy in watching hockey never wavered. Mike started his over 40-year banking career in Canada before relocating to Dallas, Texas and eventually to Houston where he succeeded as a commercial lender and banker for Texas Commerce Bank (TCB) and later Banque Indosuez. As an international banker, he traveled the world including a 2-year stay in Europe to establish and manage TCB's new London-based banking center. Following retirement, he leveraged his experience as a consultant and expert witness on various banking-related court cases. Mike is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Rae Geddes; and his children, Scott Gaetz and his wife, Annette, Susan Gaetz Duarte and her husband, Steven, and John Gaetz; and grandchildren, Olivia, Aden, Jake, Shelby, and Sofia. A private family service will be held with arrangements made by the Austin Neptune Society.
