Worked in shoe factory and later on farm living at Wellingborough, Northants. 1939 Register: at 1 Butts Cottages, Wellingborough U.D., Northamptonshire Minter, Stanley C born 17 Aug 1908 [should say 1909], married, bricklayers labourer Minter, Ellen born 10 Nov 1911, married, unpaid house duties --- 3 closed records --- Minter, Dennis R born 7 Jul 1935, at school From Cheryl Winter, July 2005: Stanley was actually born in Olney, Northants. His house caught fire one evening when he was cooking. He fell asleep and the food caught fire. He was too old to wake up and get out quick enough. It was a traumatising moment for us. August 2016: details of Stanley's son Derek C Minter and his family have been removed from the website at the request of a member of the family.
