From findagrave.com, Jan 2015: John Thomas Minter moved with his family from Marion County, Georgia, to Pine Forest, Texas, in 1855. He married Mary Craft on December 15, 1857. He went to war with the CSA. He served as a Lt. under his uncle, Captain Sylvanus Abner Minter. Not long after returning from the Civil War he died. Some family members say of pneumonia. Note: John and his wife Mary's gravestones have been lost in the Pine Forest Cemetery.
