E F L Minter (of the Army Service Corps, 8 Aux. Steam) was in the 2nd General Hospital for 4 days from 20 to 24 October 1918, with influenza. Army, arrived in London on 31 July 1921 from Port Said on the 'Nore'. He gave his address as 20 Bedford Place, London WC1. Country of last permanent residence, Palestine. London Gazette 10 Dec 1920 reported promotion to Captain: Ernest Francis Loring Minter. 29th Apr. 1920, but to rank from 15th Sept. 1918. 1939 Register: at Rowton House, 1 Kings Cross Road, St Pancras, London (one of many residents) Minter, Ernest F L born 4* Jul 1894, single, electrical salesman * the birth announcement in the Portsmouth Evening News on 6 Jul 1894 gives "the 3rd July, at 11, Mansion row, Chatham, the wife Ernest D. Minter, Surgeon R.N., a son."
