- 1861 census: at 7 Ingwell Street, Wakefield, John HAUBER (2 months, born Wakefield) was living with his parents Francis (24, musician) and Hannah (23, dressmaker) HAUBER, both born in Germany. John was the only child.
I haven't found Francis HAUBER in the 1851 census: he probably arrived in England in the 1850s. He married in Wakefield in 1858 (a copy of the marriage registry entry is included in the Hauber Family Tree at ancestry.com).
1871 census: in Ingwell Street, Wakefield, John HAUBER (10, scholar, born Wakefield) was living with his parents Francis (34, lamplighter) and Anna R (33) HAUBER, both born in Germany. John was the oldest of 6 children all born in Wakefield.
1881 census: at 40 Johnson Street, Wakefield, John HAUBER (20, tailor, born Wakefield) was living with his parents Francis (44, general labourer) and Ho-- Rosina (43) HAUBER, both born in Germany (Francis in Bavaria). John was the oldest of 9 children all born in Wakefield.
1891 census: John HAUBER (30, single, tailor, born Wakefield) was a lodger at 26, Back Garden St, Wakefield, home of Richard BULL and family.
1901 census: at 6 Water Works Yd, Northgate, Wakefield (all HAUBER), John (head, 40, married, tailor, born Wakefield), Fanny (wife, 30, born Ryhill, Yorkshire), John William (son, 5, born Wakefield), Doris Annie (daughter, 2, born , born Wakefield) and James Francis (son, 6 months, born , born Wakefield).
