In 1935 and 1936 they are shown at Craigmore, Alfriston Avenue, Harrow, Middlesex, in 1947 at 20 Alfriston Avenue and between 1949 and 1965 (some years missing) at 22 Alfriston Avenue. 1939 Register: at 22 Alfriston Avenue, Harrow U.D., Middlesex Minter, Henry J born 5 Jul 1906, married, senior accounting & statistics clerk to a public liability co. Voluntary air raid warden Harrow UDC Minter, Norah R born 23 Aug 1909, married, unpaid domestic duties. Sue Minter says her father died, in a nursing home in Northwood, Middlesex, in the third week of April 1988 and his funeral was on 3 May. I can't find his death in the BMD index. In April 2014, Sue Minter writes: "I have checked my father's (Henry Joseph Minter) date of death through other records and found it was the early evening of Tuesday 26th April 1988 in Northwood, Middlesex. Could you check in the registry to see if you can find it now - otherwise I need to contact them to submit the record again." I've checked all kinds of variations and cannot find the death. November 2015: https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk has Henry Joseph's death: Henry Joseph Minter of 24 Eastbury Av, Northwood, Middx, died 26 April 1988. Administration with Will London 26 July 1988 £141,088.
