  Notes	1891 census: a lodger in Worsley Buildings, Great Grimsby, Lincolnshire, Isaac (30(!), fisherman. 1901 census: at 21 John Street, St Mary, Southampton, Hampshire, Isaac (39, stevedore), Mary A (45), Elizabeth (19), Eva W (10) and John E (3). Elizabeth and Eva were Mary's children from a previous marriage. John's CWGC record gives his mother's name as Agnes, as does the marriage index. The 1891 census shows that Mary/Agnes was married to Thomas MAY, then 40, a coastguard, and they had three daughters, Elizabrth M (9, born Selsey, Sussex), Alice L (7, born Hamble) and Eva W (7 months, born Worth, Kent). The anomaly of Isaac's age in 1891 and 1901 is difficult to fathom - his age in 1881 was given by his father as 15. When he died in 1902, his age was given as 39, implying a birth year of 1862 or 1863. 1911 census: at 12 Gloucester Square, Southampton (9 rooms), Mary A (55, widow, 5 children 3 living 3 died, nurse (maternity), born Southampton). Living with Jane E DONALD, her daughter and daughter in law. There was also a boarder, John F HOBBS. Form signed Jane Elizabeth Donald.
